Making the Difference

On the morning of Tuesday, January 14, 2003 the San Diego City Council voted unanimously to approve the proposed Toby Wells YMCA project in Kearny Mesa. Not only will this 40,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility serve as a permanent tribute to a very deserving young man who passed much before his time, but also serve as a valuable community resource. We wish to extend our heart-felt gratitude to the entire Toby Wells YMCA project team and to the San Diego City Council for making this dream a reality. Details on additional naming opportunities and programs will be posted as the Grand Opening draws near.
