Proposal Submission Procedure
No special application form is required. Proposals should include:
- A letter with information about both the organization as a whole and the project in particular, specifying the amount requested from the Foundation, and providing a justification for the request.
- A 501 (c)(3) tax determination letter from the Internal Revenue Service.
- A budget for both the organization as a whole and the project in particular.
- The most recent audited financial statements.
- A copy of the most recent complete Form 990 filed with the Internal Revenue Service.
- A list of the Board of Directors.
- Any additional material, such as an annual report, may be attached.
Only one copy of each proposal is required. There will be a delay in processing incomplete applications. Organizations submitting completed requests will be notified by January of the following year.
The Foundation does not provide funds to individuals or endowments.
Currently, all of our funding is limited to programs or organizations
in San Diego County.
